The Central Police Force (CPF) is a collective name given to the entire defense services under the Central government of India and the jobs under the title are highly reputable and sought for in today’s world. The Central Police Force (CPF) conducts recruitments under the main five categories namely the Border Security Force (BSF), the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), and Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP). The vacancies in the various disciplines are 284 for BSF, 326 for CRPF, 82 for CISF, 55 for SSB and 6 for ITBP though they can be changed according to the requirement.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) handles the recruitment under the Central Police Force (CPF) every year. The exams are generally held in the month of October. The candidates who are appearing for their degree examinations are allowed to sit in the examination. The age limit is between 20 to 25 years as on 1st of August of the respective year of the Examination. The written test serves as a preliminary test after which a series of Physical Efficiency tests (PET) & Medical tests will take place. For the CISF & CRPF both Males are Females are eligible but SSB, BSF and ITBP prefer Male candidates.
